Aurora Material Solutions Completes Texas Facility Expansion
Major renovation includes the installation of state-of-the-art equipment for enhanced capabilities.
STREETSBORO, OH, February 28, 2019– Aurora Material Solutions, a global leader in PVC compounds headquartered in Streetsboro, Ohio, unveiled the recent expansion and renovation of their 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located in Pasadena, Texas. The investment marks the company’s continued commitment to expanding the services and products offered to customers in the Western and Southern United States and its focus to grow export business.
The renovated plant includes the latest in blending, controls and automation, enabling Aurora Material Solutions to provide the highest quality compounds and exceptional customer service to an expanded range of customers. The upgrades also include a new lab and product testing capabilities.
The plant will initially produce Aurora Material Solutions’ rigid PVC product line, AuroraTec™, and will continue to offer bagging and export services. Aurora Material Solutions sees this site as a strategic location for continued expansion to support customer growth and is evaluating further expansion in flexible PVC compounds and thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs).

The company unveiled the renovations with a ceremony on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Attendees included Aurora Material Solutions board of directors and members of its executive team, including: Conard and Hughes; Matt McDonald, chief financial officer; Matthew Kuwatch, vice president, marketing and business development; and Bill Trask, director of strategic sourcing. Mayor Jeff Wagner of Pasadena, TX, and other city officials also attended.
Aurora Material Solutions acquired the facility from JPI South in May 2018. Immediately, the company began investing significant capital to upgrade the space, equipment, and technology available, while working with the existing staff, who played a significant role in the renovation. It took approximately 11 months to complete.
