Aurora Material Solutions Announces New Leadership Positions Within its Manufacturing Operations

December 19, 2024 – Aurora Material Solutions announces several new leadership appointments within its manufacturing operations: David Bacon is named capital projects manager; Andy Hoefling is now plant manager at the North Spring Street, Evansville, Ind. location; and Chris Stemple will join Aurora as plant manager at the Foundation Ave, Evansville, Ind. facility.

Most recently, Bacon served as plant manager for the company’s North Spring Street, Evansville, Ind. location. In his new position as capital projects manager, Bacon will oversee new projects, facility renovations and retrofits, process improvements, and equipment/utility installations for our sites in Indiana, Massachusetts and Quebec. He will also support new acquisitions.

Hoefling will move from his current position as Foundation Ave, Evansville, Ind. plant manager to become the plant manager of Aurora’s North Spring Street, Evansville, Ind. location. During his seven and a half years with the company, he has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise that will help maintain the North Spring Street, Evansville, Ind. location facility’s excellent performance standards.

Effective January 6, 2025, Stemple joins Aurora Material Solutions as the new plant manager for the Foundation Ave, Evansville, Ind. facility, where he will be responsible for all manufacturing operations, including safety, environmental compliance, productivity, quality, maintenance, continuous improvement, employee relations and financial performance. Prior to joining the Aurora team, Stemple worked as unit manager for SABIC in Mt. Vernon, Ind. He has also served in leadership roles at Corteva Agriscience and Dow Chemical, with extensive experience in manufacturing operations, maintenance reliability, and continuous improvement. Stemple holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind. and a master of business administration from Arkansas State University in Jonesville, Ark.
