From its very beginning, Aurora Material Solutions has worked from a foundation of experience and dedication, with a mission to provide our customers with the best quality products and service available in the industry. Aurora Material Solutions was founded in 1997 by three vastly experienced thermoplastic professionals dedicated to meeting the global quality challenges facing the industry, who successfully grew the company for 19 years.
The company ownership changed to private equity and employees in August of 2016. Nautic Partners, a Providence, Rhode Island private equity firm, acquired Aurora Material Solutions in August of 2021 continuing investment support for new product development, capacity expansion, geographic expansion, and company acquisitions.
From August 2016 to September of 2022, Aurora Material Solutions expanded from two manufacturing facilities to six to better serve our customers’ needs. These manufacturing sites were a part of five company mergers and acquisitions (Plastique Reinier, S&E Specialty Polymers, JP Specialties South, Elastocon, Enviroplas, and most recently EnCom Polymers).
EnCom, acquired in March 2024, will be grouped with Enviroplas to further strengthen the products available through our Engineered Thermoplastics business segment.

As a result, we have set the benchmark on product quality and lot-to-lot consistency in the industry. Aurora Material Solutions’ R&D team works with cutting edge raw materials and compound developments to produce the next generations of high-performance compounds.
We are known for manufacturing the highest quality advanced polymers, custom thermoplastics and compounds for a variety of applications in the building & construction, industrial, consumer, and electrical/electronics/wire & cable industries.
Our product line is one of the industry’s largest product portfolios, including premium pellet capstocks, rigid PVC and flexible PVC, custom TPO, TPE, CPVC, CPE alloys, TPEs, low-smoke zero-halogen compounds, SBS & SEBS, RPVC and purge compounds. We have one of the broadest thermoplastic product portfolios in the plastics industry. In addition, Aurora Material Solutions launched an engineered polymers division when it merged with Enviroplas, providing customers with an even broader product range that includes ABS, ASA, MABS, PBT, PC, PC/ABS Alloys, PC/ASA Alloys, PC/PBT Alloys, PC/PET Alloys, PEI and TPU composites.
Aurora Material Solutions’ compounds are not only laboratory tested, but field proven with an outstanding performance record. We continue to push the latest technology envelope of compounding techniques with a culture of continuous improvement. This complements our R&D team that is focused on compound optimization in order to serve individual customer requirements.
