Aurora Material Solutions Appoints Dave Smith as Market Segment Manager

September 30, 2024 – Aurora Material Solutions announces the appointment of Dave Smith as market segment manager for the electrical and electronics (E&E) and wire and cable (W&C) markets.

In this role, Smith will be responsible for driving profitable growth and market leadership in both the E&E and W&C segments. He will provide strategic, commercial and technical support to meet business goals; and develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand market share. Smith will also work to foster innovation with the development of cutting-edge polymer compounds and enhance customer satisfaction by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and product quality.

Smith joined Aurora Material Solutions in February 2024 as regional sales manager for the western region. Prior to joining Aurora, Smith worked at Amco Polymers/Ravago as commercial technology manager and business development manager for E&E. He brings 25 years of industry experience from various sales and management roles at leading polymer companies including Nexeo Solutions, SABIC and Celanese.

Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, and a master’s in business administration from Webster University in St. Louis.
